Recently, we had a GTG among our school friends. School friends are one among life’s best friends. Lucky me to have good friends. There was a discussion about the problems being faced by some of us. We were having no clue as to why some incidents were happening in our lives. We were talking of remedies and also how to overcome the difficulties. I then introduced the discussion on the effects of vasthu in one’s life, as I was a little bit experienced in that field. When I told that, if I hear about any issues confronting my friends, immediately my mind starts visualizing the house of my friend and then tell them that there is a defect in a particular area of the house and the same has to be rectified to overcome the problem. I also told them that many of the defects are not practically rectifiable, more so when someone stays in apartments and I used to watch helplessly inspite of knowing that they are undergoing difficult situations due to that particular defect of the vasthu in the house, and for many of them I advice to shift their residence from that place. But as fate would have it, most of them ignore the advice and continue to undergo sufferings for which, one of my friend told “IGNORANCE IS BLISS”. I too felt the same. But that statement made me to ponder over it for quite some time. If we don’t know why some thing is happening to us, and further, if we are not seeking the reason, it is without doubt that we have other priorities, than the seeking in us which is not a priority at the moment. Many of us are mostly caught in the rat race and, there is no time to think and to enjoy the life consciously. But then I thought, it will be living in a denial mode inspite of knowing the existence of the problem we face. Then, how did I come to know that good vasthu has good effects. It was only due to the “conscious” searching for the answers as to why one suffers and how to overcome them that had lead me to know that there is another good path of “vasthu” and hence, started advocating of having a good vasthu house for anyone who wants to have a peaceful & fulfilled life. I also found that, it had more to do with feeling the suffering of others rather than about myself, even though I think I am lucky not to have undergone those. I don’t see anything wrong in “ignoring” or “ignorance” also, as life manifests itself into, based on what we wish or desire and to “consciously” choose the options before us. Hence, we have to choose between the two. For the one who seeks, he gets what he wants, but only after some effort, and for the one who doesn’t, it is “IGNORANCE IS BLISS”.
